Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man: the first look has been released! This Spider-Man series has been in development for quite a few years. Initially titled Spider-Man: Freshman Year, it now has a new title. The show is set in an alternate universe, separate from the main MCU timeline.
What we can gather is that it was challenging to use Spider-Man’s rogues’ gallery, as Sony holds the rights to many characters. If it were set in the MCU, they wouldn’t be able to use many of these iconic characters.
This series offers a fresh take on Spider-Man in his early years, replacing Tony Stark as his mentor with Norman Osborn. The show looks great, and here’s your first look below!
It is set to premiere at the January 29th on Disney+, and we already have some stills and a trailer to enjoy.
